Boxing Day Nail Art.

Hello and happy boxing day everybody!

Sorry that I haven't been here on Christmas. The problem is that my ISP crashed and went down for several days. So I am here bugging the shit out of my boyfriend and blogging on his computer.
Anyway, I don't know when my ISP will be up again.. Hope it will be soon.

I have made a simple nail design using french manicure tape, applying different color layers.

As always - quick and easy.
Ok, I need to let my boyfriend to use his computer again.

Android Nail Art

Hello there, my dear readers!
It would not be my blog if it consisted out of all-girly-stuff nail art, right?
So that is why this weeks nail at is totally random and super simple.
Android nails!

I cant't say much about these, I just wanted to make something quick and fun.
They all look different, but all together it's an Android army on my nails!
Not sure of how long it took me to make these, but I am pretty sure that not more that an hour.
What did I use for this? As always - toothpicks!! one side for the green body and the other for whit eyes aaaaaaaaaand you're done!

Thank you for stopping by today and have a great pre-Christmas weekend!

Sum 41 Nail Art

Hello again!
As promised, here is  the Sum 41 inspired nail art!
It may not be super hard to make, but hey, it still looks great!

I used the name of the album and a song title because I could not find an appropriate album cover to copy in my short nails. I might redo this design someday, when I will have a lot of free time.
It feels strange that it is the time of the year when everything is supposed to be calm and holiday-ish, but instead I have a lot of University exams  and things to do...
Can't wait for Christmas.

Have a great day and come back next week!

PS. here is The Hell Song for you.

Good Girls Like to Sin Nail Art.

Hello and welcome back!
This week has passed in the blink of an eye and this weekend I'd like to show you the nail art which I wanted to do for a long time.
Everyone knows blink 182, right? I listen to their songs every time I'm on my way to the University. I don't know why, but I can't imagine being on the road and not listening to their music. I have already made a Blink 182 inspired nail art earlier this year
(you can check it out here -
but this time it's something different.
I made a nail design that would match my favorite t-shirt -
I did messed up the logo when I was putting on the t-shirt, so I am sorry about that. (why can't I just wait for it to dry completely? )
I wish I could wear this nail art forever! lol
It's really simple, I did it in about 25-30 minutes, as always, using a toothpick. To make the letters thinner, I'd advice you to use a fishing line or something similar, and hold your breath while writing on your nails.

"That's how it was to all begin
'Cause good girls they like to sin
Way back at the starting line
When Eve was on Adam's mind
And he was the first to go
In search of the great unknown
And falling yet again
'Cause good girls they like to sin"

Enjoy the song and have a great day!

December Nail Art.

Hello again!
As I have mentioned earlier, this month will be a really stressful one for me. So much to do in so little time.
Why can't I just stay at home and do nail art for fun?
Anyways, As I didn't had enough time I figured that I should do something easy and winter themed. So here you are -
These patterns usually can be seen on warm winter sweaters, and as it is snowing outside it's the perfect time to start wearing them.
It's so easy to do that it does not really needs to be explained - take a toothpick and copy the pattern from any winter sweater you have.
Take time to make the lines straight. (Mine aren't neat at all, I was in a hurry to finish the design and go to bed.)
Hope you liked the nail art and here is a picture of my sweet Lady and her favorite blanket for you -

Why? Just because she is adorable.<3

By the way, If you are interested in winter themed nail art, be sure to check out the 12 Days of Xmas challenge entries here -
12 Days Of Xmas Challenge.

Have a good day and come back next time!

Oh no.

Oh no.. I had so much to do for the University this week that I barely had time to finish my design.
that is not an excuse for me... that is why I will try to make smth asap.

Gotham City Impostors Nail Art.

Well I guess the week has passed and it's time for the nail art, that was chosen by you.
( By the way I'd like to thank everyone who voted this week! I'm not sure why the rest of you choose not to vote but I'm glad that at least some of you did.)
This weeks nail art is inspired by the new first-person shooter multiplayer-only video game called Gotham City Impostors.
If you never got round to playing it, the game is a squad-based shooter that lets up to 12 players (Batmanz vs. Jokerz) face-off on the streets of Gotham City.
I like the game because it actually lets you customize your own characters. Skinny Batman with cardboard mask on his head or muscular green haired Jokers wearing underwear over their pants - everything is possible in this game.
Long story short here is the nail art -
\
I chose to draw the portraits of the two main characters on thumbs simply because it would not be a Gotham inspired nail art without them.
Mainly all I did is I painted the nails in the colors of the characters, and added funny looking toy eyes, which I got at the craft store, simply because all the characters in the game are funny looking and a bit silly.
Tools, as usual - Toothpick. You don't need anything else to make this nail art. So go ahead and try it!
I have spent only an hour and a half on creating this design.

Thank you for stopping by! Be sure to come back next week for more fun and easy nail art!
And don't be scared to leave a comment!

PS. Adding more photos today, as requested-

Have a good day <3

Gradient Nail Art.

It's Wednesday again. And new nail art for you, my dear readers.
First of all - it's not video game inspired simply because there is not much people voting on the theme of the nail art (on the right) so that is why I'm postponing the game -inspired nail art 'till Saturday.
And while the voting is in progress, here is something else for your inspiration :
this is a pretty simple design to do on your nails. It does not require a professional skill on nail art. You just simply choose the colors you like, take a make-up sponge or whatever you think is suitable and start applying color by color towards the tip of the nail.
The next thing  you need to do is take your toothpick, or a needle, and start  drawing the trees and the grass with black nail polish.
Apply top coat and you're done!
Told you it was simple... And colorful!

Thank you for reading and have a nice day <3
Please, leave a vote and come back again this Saturday!

American Nail Art.

Hello and welcome back!
First of all I'd like to say that I'm sorry that the posts weren't published on time. I have so much to do now and sometimes I don't have time to make new nail art. But I'll try to keep up with the schedule, so expect something new every week!
I have made two flag themed nail art in a row because of the lack of free time. :( I will think of something more video game related for next time.. Promise. Anyways, here it is-

It's is really easy to make and it takes about an half an hour or so. It's perfect if you don't have two hours to make your nails look amazing, but you do want something pretty and eye-catching on your nails.

It turned out a bit messy on one of the thumbs but it still looks good enough.
To make this nail art you just need to use a toothpick (as usual).
Paint the nails white and use the toothpick to make the tars and stripes any way you like.

Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you next time.
Feel free to comment or share the blog -It would make my day.
Have a nice day! <3

Canadian Nail Art

Hello again!
This weeks nail art isn't geeky at all, simply because I'm spending a lot of the time doing research and so on. So here is something different -
I need to say that these pictures were taken with the phone camera so they will not be a great quality, sorry for that. I didn't really planned on doing this design but it was quick and I hadn't enough time.
This time I'll keep it short and simple.

Thank you for reading, and have a great day!
Come back next week! <3

Scott Pilgrim vs The World Nail Art

Hello again!
As it is Wednesday already, here is something new for your nails:
Scott Pilgrim vs The World Nail Art!

I've included all of Ramona's Seven Evil Exes, the gradient of her hair colors from the movie, Scott's band and D note (yes, all base notes are D regardless of sound).
I can't say that this design was easy for me. I haven't done a lot of portraits lately, especially that small, so it was a bit of a challenge.
I used a toothpick to draw everything in the design. A fishing line would have worked better but I can't find mine anywhere.
I have chosen this theme because it is one of my favorite movies and I don't know why I haven't thought about this earlier.
I'm planning on making another Scott Pilgrim nail art later including other characters obviously.

Thank you for reading, and have a nice day!
Come back next week <3

Magic Purple/Sky Blue Color Changing Nail Polish.

Hello my dear readers!
This week I want to make a special post dedicated to one single nail polish that I fell in love with from the moment I've tried it on my nails.

I'm going to write about Magic Purple/Sky Blue Color Changing Mood Nail Polish from www.bornprettystore.com !

In case you are not sure what does the "color changing" part means, imagine mood rings that were popular back in the day.
This nail polish has the same effect as the rings - when applied on nails, it changes color based on the temperature.
In this case it becomes sky blue when your hands are warm, and purple when your hands are cold!

To start with, I'd like to say that the shipping was absolutely free worldwide and it took a week or two to receive the package. So it's fast, easy and free which is a big plus.
I received this in the morning.
And the first thing I did was trying it on my nails! And to be completely honest - it did look awesome but it started to peel off pretty quick, I assumed that it was because I didn't use the top coat (I was in a hurry) and I was right about that. So if you want this polish to last longer - use top coat. It works absolutely fine with it.

To show you how this amazing nail polish works I have prepared two glasses with hot (warm) and cold water.

I'd like to mention as well that the polish applies smooth and evenly. It is not chunky and does not have any odor that you might not like.
By the way, I found out that it takes a bit longer to dry if you use a base coat. I tried it with, or without base coat and I prefer to apply it without the base. It does not leave any stains on your nails (like red or green polishes do) so it's safe to use directly on nails.
I applied only one layer of the polish, simply because it was enough, but you can always make a second layer if you want to.

As my hands were cold (as they usually are) it turned purple as soon as it was dry.
In the picture it looks a bit like a lavender color, but it is actually a bit brighter purple.

When dipping my finger into the warm water, the polish turned sky blue, which I really liked!

And it turned purple in the cold water.

Here you can see the difference in colors and how pretty both of them look together or separately. And as my hands were cold the blue one started to change colors and was gradient for a while.( from purple to blue)
As it is cold outside, my nails looked awesome because the tips of the nails were cold and purple but the rest of the nail was blue and constantly changing. I mean like - wow. I liked this polish so much that I'd wear it every day for the rest of the autumn.

Here is a link to this product, if you would like to try it out -

Harley Quinn Nail Art

Hello!
First of all I'd like to say sorry for not posting yesterday, as promised.
I just had a lot of things going on and it just slipped away.
Anyways, this weeks nail art is my favorite theme - Harley Quinn Inspired Nail Art!

Sorry if the quality of the picture is not perfect, I took these pictures while I was in my student exchange program. They are not that bad but if you click on the picture, you will be able to see it better.

I haven't even had toothpicks while doing this design so the only thing I've used was a mechanical pencil! I believe it is the best choice to use if you don't have needles or toothpicks.
There is not much to say about this design and I'm almost late for my lectures that is why I will not write a lot.

PS. I just received a package from The Born Pretty Shop!
(see the post below to check it out)
And I will take time and post a review for you next week!

So stay tuned. thank you for checking out my nail art and have a great day! <3

Betta Splenden Nail Art.

Hello nail art lovers!
This weeks nail art is a bit different. It's simple, fun and inspired by my new Betta fish - La'gaan.

His name came from the DC character Lagoon Boy who is an amphibious boy from Atlantis.
We brought him home two days ago and I absolutely love his colors! He has a bit of green, red and blue and these are the colors that I've chosen for the nail art.

I've seen a lot of videos about the water marble nails, but I never tried to make something like that. This is my first attempt to make marble nails, and I'd like to share my experience with you:

First of all, here is what you  will need:
(click on the photos to enlarge)

Choose the polishes you want, a cup with water ( I just found that you need warm water for this, but I did it with cold tap water and it worked fine).

Cotton buds, nail polish remover, scotch tape and a toothpick.
I did not use any base coat on this one, but you can apply any base coat you like.

Before making water marbles, cover your fingers around your nails with scotch tape, so the design would apply only on your nail. Otherwise it will be really messy.

Then drip a few drops of the nail polish on the surface of the water one by one. and try to do it fast so the polish would not harden.

Make the design with a toothpick. It's best to drag the color to the center.
(I wanted them to be random so I just pulled in all dirrections)

Then I lined up my nail witj the design that I wanted and dipped it right where the design was.

Continued doing the same process with the other nails.

It dries real quick, so in about 20 seconds you can easily remove the scotch and remove all the excess polish  with a cotton bud dipped in polish remover.

Cover the nails with a top coat and you are done!

It may look better if the water was warm, not sure.
But I like how they turned out in the end! I think now I'll be practicing marble nail art in the future.
Hope this was useful for you.
Thank you for reading this weeks post and come back next week for new nail art!
