Twinkle, twinkle... Whatever.

And so far December isn't that bad. I mean, not taking in mind some... things that I cannot control, everything seems pretty good.
I needed something simple. Something pure and pretty. So I guess nude nail polish with glittery half moons on the top are exactly what suits this description.

And I had to go ahead and ruin these perfectly good nails with a cheap-ass top coat nail polish. I ran out of my favorite one and I had no choice but to use the lame one... And it refused to dry. 10 minutes, 20 minutes - still is not dry. This is why the nails look, well, not that good on the picture. And this is why I decided not to do a collage of the pictures. They suck.
They looked so good and now they suck. Learn on my mistakes, ladies - never use cheap top coat.

So I'm going to dive in back to watching Sons of Anarchy. And byte way, have I mentioned that my wedding is the day after tomorrow? No pressure, right.

Autumn gradient and desperation. Well not really.

Oh, gradients… They never actually were “my thing” in nail design. But this time I was so proud of what came out of the random idea to combine two colors, that I was showing my nails to everyone who was willing to see it.  I did not plan to do this gradient and definitely did not plan to make a post on this, but I fell in love with this autumn color combination.
I don't need to tell you how to create gradient, right? But in case I need to - paint your nails a color of your choice, grab a cosmetic sponge, apply  the colors you want your gradient to be like so -
(photo from www.vanessajhoy.com )
And tap it on your nail. And when you are done, you should have a pretty gradient on your nails. Just clean up excess polish from the skin and you are done.
Mine looked like this. (pardon my photos, These were taken by phone.)

You know what grinds my gears? The fact that I cannot get any nail polish that I want… I saw a post on facebook about OPI Rock Goddess mini pack and immediately thought that I NEED TO GET THAT. I mean I understand that this mini set had some bad reviews, a lot of people said that the formula isn't the best and the colors aren't unique, but guys… I need it, ok?

And as soon as I looked for it online I got a heartbreaking news – Sorry, we don’t ship to your country. Why? Why me?  I am officially leaving this country pretty soon. But while I am here, please, pretty please don’t make my life worse? No comic books in this country, no Iron Fist/Macbeth/Doc. Martens, no OPI… And now no SHIPPING? (Check my Instagram  for a picture) Well ok, some of them do ship here but it usually costs even more than an item I wish to order and you need to wait a million years for it to get here. This is… OK I am used to this stuff already. But I hate it.
Every time this happens I hear in my head ( You will never get this lalalalala ) -

Anyways, please tell me that this mini set is not worth my nerves. And know that I envy every singe one of you who has a chance to go and buy that kind of stuff in your country.
Ok then… I’ll go and paint my nails with any other nail polish instead.
Love,
K.

Match my socks!

Hello there. I think you have already got used to me disappearing on you like that from time to time. But would you believe me if I told you that real life sometimes takes all your time. And believe me, I'd rather do nail art then all of the stuff I NEED to do. Whatever.
So to come back this October I decided to post some nails I did back in September and did not had a chance to post them.
I decided to do something super easy and something.. to actually match one of my favorite pair of socks.

Kind of  a silly idea, but I really liked it. Simple, cute and girly... So not my type of nail art, right?
But anyways, I am almost dome with all of the things that needed to be taken care of, and pretty soon I'll be back on the track.
By the way, I have started another blog while I was wasting the nights away -

If you are interested of getting my not-so-manly reviews on the games I recently played, you are welcome to follow!

Bloody red.

Something simple. Something completely out of the ordinary for my blog. But take a look how gorgeous a simple red color on your nails can be.
Basically, I started with a red base and thought that this will be it. I had some stuff to do and didn't really had time for anything special that day. So I went out and bought the simplest, the most common and expected nail  polish color.
I simply cannot walk around with "naked" nails anymore. So at least a color on them sounded good enough. But as soon as I applied it... It looked so empty. So I grabbed the first glitter polish that I could find and applied right on top on the nails. And here it was - the final form for the nails.
And so I was walking around with nails like that for 2 days, until I had enough of it. The simplicity is killing me, OK?
By the time I got home I already knew what will I do with my nails. I saw something similar to these nails on some cheap fake plastic nails, that one girl was wearing at work. and I knew exactly that I needed to to this.
Here is how my nails looked like, and how they look now -

To be honest I am not sure if I am happy with them or not. But as long as they are "different" I am OK with it.
Do you like to stand out?

Macbeth Nails.

I wear my Macbeth shoes like every day, if it not freezing outside... Or if it is not melting because of the freaking heat. But even then I wear my Macbeths from time to time.
So where was I.. Oh yeah - NAILS!
I decided that my nails should match my shoes aaaanndd this was a great idea. Honesty like how my nail look like.
What I did to make my nails match the shoes? I took a piece of fishing line, as I usually do, and WRITE WRITE WRITE on my nails! Then added a logo on the thumbs annnd here we are - DONE!

Best shoes! EVER!
Thank you for the inspiration!

Down Alondra

Today is the music-related nail art day again!
But this time I'd like to introduce you to a band called Down Alondra!
I wanted to support them a bit and made a nail design inspired by their new song called EVERYTHING.
It is pretty simple but i really like the result!

I can continue telling you how awesome they are, but you need to hear them to understand it!
for example - here is their music video

I guess this is it for today...
Come back soon for more nail art <3

Easter Rabbits.

Today will be just a quick post with a quick and super easy nail art.
I don't have a lot of free time because of the University exams, but I had to do something quick and sweet for the Easter. And here is what I did:

Using all the fun colors, I did the background for my Easter nails.  These polishes were bought in UK in Primark in a set. I do not remember if this set had a name but doesn't matter, I'm not sure they are still selling those anyway.
Then I grabbed my acrilics and started speed-drawing bunnies on my nails. Cute and super easy - in about 2 minutes I have "bunnified" my nails.
And in addition, I drew a cute little chick hatching from its egg for Easter.
Add a top coat and here you are - cuteness on your nails in 5 minutes.

Come back again on the weekends to see another awesome nail art! <3
And Happy Easter!

Deftones Nail Art

Hello, sweethearts!
Did you guys miss me? First of all I'd like to apologies for not posting anything for two weeks now. I had a lot of things happening and I haven't been feeling well for a few days. As I am feeling a bit better today, I feel that I must make a post on the blog. We haven't filmed anything, but I think we will have a new video tutorial this weekend. I hate being sick, I hate staying at home and feeling sick. So I think I will be feeling as good as new till the end of the week! ^__^
I have chosen a "band-inspired"nail art to come back from the two week "break" from painting my nails.
This time it's Deftones!
I haven't been listening to them for two years or so, but recently I have discovered their albums on my phone and I started listening to their music again.

I am not complaining but it was pretty hard for me to do these tiny rose details... But I think I'll improve when I will be feeling better. :)
I know that this design is very simple, comparing to my other ideas - but bare with me this week.

Here is a great song for you, that is called "Good Morning, Beautiful" <3

"You should wake up before the wrath comes
me and you could take off before the wrath comes.."

Feel free to tell me what you think about these nails and come back this weekend <3

YouTube Inspired Nail Art

Hello again!
I've been spamming new posts every day now just because I have time, mood and inspiration for it so - why not? ;)
This time I decided to do a YouTube inspired nail art for my first experience on the video tutorials.
Only fishing line, only hardcore... Well.. and a brush.
Here is what it looks like -

I really like how it turned out because it was a spontaneous decision to make this design.

The grey was actually a matte polish, but the top coat made it all blend in with the other nail polish.
And here is the tutorial -

December Nail Art.

Hello again!
As I have mentioned earlier, this month will be a really stressful one for me. So much to do in so little time.
Why can't I just stay at home and do nail art for fun?
Anyways, As I didn't had enough time I figured that I should do something easy and winter themed. So here you are -
These patterns usually can be seen on warm winter sweaters, and as it is snowing outside it's the perfect time to start wearing them.
It's so easy to do that it does not really needs to be explained - take a toothpick and copy the pattern from any winter sweater you have.
Take time to make the lines straight. (Mine aren't neat at all, I was in a hurry to finish the design and go to bed.)
Hope you liked the nail art and here is a picture of my sweet Lady and her favorite blanket for you -

Why? Just because she is adorable.<3

By the way, If you are interested in winter themed nail art, be sure to check out the 12 Days of Xmas challenge entries here -

Have a good day and come back next time!

Gotham City Impostors Nail Art.

Well I guess the week has passed and it's time for the nail art, that was chosen by you.
( By the way I'd like to thank everyone who voted this week! I'm not sure why the rest of you choose not to vote but I'm glad that at least some of you did.)
This weeks nail art is inspired by the new first-person shooter multiplayer-only video game called Gotham City Impostors.
If you never got round to playing it, the game is a squad-based shooter that lets up to 12 players (Batmanz vs. Jokerz) face-off on the streets of Gotham City.
I like the game because it actually lets you customize your own characters. Skinny Batman with cardboard mask on his head or muscular green haired Jokers wearing underwear over their pants - everything is possible in this game.
Long story short here is the nail art -
\
I chose to draw the portraits of the two main characters on thumbs simply because it would not be a Gotham inspired nail art without them.
Mainly all I did is I painted the nails in the colors of the characters, and added funny looking toy eyes, which I got at the craft store, simply because all the characters in the game are funny looking and a bit silly.
Tools, as usual - Toothpick. You don't need anything else to make this nail art. So go ahead and try it!
I have spent only an hour and a half on creating this design.

Thank you for stopping by! Be sure to come back next week for more fun and easy nail art!
And don't be scared to leave a comment!

PS. Adding more photos today, as requested-

Have a good day <3

American Nail Art.

Hello and welcome back!
First of all I'd like to say that I'm sorry that the posts weren't published on time. I have so much to do now and sometimes I don't have time to make new nail art. But I'll try to keep up with the schedule, so expect something new every week!
I have made two flag themed nail art in a row because of the lack of free time. :( I will think of something more video game related for next time.. Promise. Anyways, here it is-

It's is really easy to make and it takes about an half an hour or so. It's perfect if you don't have two hours to make your nails look amazing, but you do want something pretty and eye-catching on your nails.

It turned out a bit messy on one of the thumbs but it still looks good enough.
To make this nail art you just need to use a toothpick (as usual).
Paint the nails white and use the toothpick to make the tars and stripes any way you like.

Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you next time.
Feel free to comment or share the blog -It would make my day.
Have a nice day! <3

Canadian Nail Art

Hello again!
This weeks nail art isn't geeky at all, simply because I'm spending a lot of the time doing research and so on. So here is something different -
I need to say that these pictures were taken with the phone camera so they will not be a great quality, sorry for that. I didn't really planned on doing this design but it was quick and I hadn't enough time.
This time I'll keep it short and simple.

Thank you for reading, and have a great day!
Come back next week! <3

Random Nail Art. + 20 Nail Art.

Just a random nail design I came up with. It is easy to make and does not take long time to do.
The best way to make it look good is to let every layer of the polish dry completely before applying next (that is if you are patient enough).

And this design was made for my birthday.
