Superhero week. Day 5.

How many magic words do you know?
SHAZAM! Two syllables famous for magically turning a boy into a superpowered adult.
Unlike most foster children, Billy Batson couldn’t care less about finding a family. He just wants to turn eighteen and finally become an adult. While the boy’s compassionate and kind, he’s gotten used to protecting himself by staying emotionally distant from everybody. But that changes when he meets an ancient wizard who introduces him to one very powerful word.

Just by saying SHAZAM!, Billy is transformed into a magical flying adult superhero, one with the genius of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the unbreakable will of Atlas, the lightning blasts of Zeus, the power of Achilles and the speed of Mercury.

"I like being a hero. "

Superhero week. Day 3.

Skies. Feathers. And a shiny armor. Hawkman is an exceptional interesting character among superheroes.
He is a winged vigilante who fights crime using a flight harness.
His secret identity is Carter Hall, an archaeologist and museum curator who lives out his destiny as a reincarnation of the ancient Egyptian prince Khufu using magic weaponry.

All incarnations of Hawkman used the fictional "ninth metal" or "Nth metal" to defy gravity and allow them to fly. The metal is in their costume's belt, boots, and wings. Its abilities are controlled mentally. Their wings allow them to control their flight, though they can be "flapped" through use of shoulder motions. In most comic books he is known.

Would you like to have his abilities?

Everything is OK.

This year really is something.
I had all sorts of emotions - the best ones and, sadly, the worst ones. And it seems like every month is giving me a test, which I will pass, I promise. But I still want this year to end. New year - new life, right?
Well anyways, I was not in the mood for the nails, although I love painting them. That is why I felt like doing something easy and pretty. These nails show exactly how I feel inside - bursting with emotions (hot and cold) covered with the dark color of reality. ( Oh, I am so poetic, lol)
So here they are -

They may not be perfect, but I am OK with all those colors underneath the top coat.
I'm OK with any challenge ahead of me. I am not afraid.

Heartless.

All of us girls have those moments when it seems like we don't have enough time to do our hair, put on make up and do our nails. And today I had the exact same situation. I was planning on making a new nail video and creating something super awesome on my nails but with the first sneeze in the morning I knew this was a bad sign. And yes, I have caught a cold. My nose just doesn't seem to understand that it is impossible for a human being to sneeze 25 times in 25 seconds.I felt so weak and I had so many assignments to do, but after taking a hot bath I fell asleep...
Waking up I understood that this was a bad decision, but there was no way of turning back the time. And how can a nail blogger go out somewhere without her nails done? Impossible! So here is what was my solution to this time management problem -  AVON speed dry nail polishes!
You will have to excuse me for forgetting the name of the beige color, I have left it at my parent's place when I visited them today and now I cannot remember how was it called. Stupid cold makes me feel stupid. But the red one is called Red Wine.

When you are in a hurry these polishes are simply life savers! The red one takes two coats to apply  not to be opaque, but it dries so fast you can't even notice that it is already dry.
Apply a tiny red heart on one of the beige nails and it look like you have spent quite some time on your nails, even though it took less than 5 minutes to do!
So tell me, do you have your own "life savers" like these?

Bloody red.

Something simple. Something completely out of the ordinary for my blog. But take a look how gorgeous a simple red color on your nails can be.
Basically, I started with a red base and thought that this will be it. I had some stuff to do and didn't really had time for anything special that day. So I went out and bought the simplest, the most common and expected nail  polish color.
I simply cannot walk around with "naked" nails anymore. So at least a color on them sounded good enough. But as soon as I applied it... It looked so empty. So I grabbed the first glitter polish that I could find and applied right on top on the nails. And here it was - the final form for the nails.
And so I was walking around with nails like that for 2 days, until I had enough of it. The simplicity is killing me, OK?
By the time I got home I already knew what will I do with my nails. I saw something similar to these nails on some cheap fake plastic nails, that one girl was wearing at work. and I knew exactly that I needed to to this.
Here is how my nails looked like, and how they look now -

To be honest I am not sure if I am happy with them or not. But as long as they are "different" I am OK with it.
Do you like to stand out?

Disco on the nails.

Another weekend - another nail art.
Well to be honest I did these yesterday while I had time at my boyfriend's work place. As I do not have a job at the moment I spend a lot of time home and I hate being home when Keiran isn't there, so that is why he takes me with him when he goes to work.
I'm helping him out with some paper work, but most of the time I make tea and do my nails there. That is how helpful I am lol.
So anyways this time I grabbed my black nail polish with me and using acrylics I created something that Keiran named as "Disco nails".
I took a pencil, dipped it in the red acrylics and made a line of dots across my nail and then continues dotting with the blue color.
Added top coat and the nails were done.
This was one of the fastest designs I ever did and Keiran's colleagues complemented me on my nails so many times.
Anyways, If you want a quick and eye-catching nail design  try doing this.

And yes, I got a paper-cut... Paper can be dangerous sometimes.

Thank you for stepping by my blog and come back again!

My "Magneto" experience.

Hello!
I must say, bare with me for two more weeks - I have an exam session going on at University and that is why my nails are taking a break from epic nail art.
BUT It doesn't mean I don't do anything nail-related.
This time I did this Magnetic nail art on my mom's nails. She usually asks me to do something simple on her nails and as I recently discovered a new nail polish type I decided to give it a try.
So the first time I saw Magnetic nail polish was in The Little Canvas 's blog. And I must tell you I felt kinda embarrassed for not knowing that polish can do that lol.
And I definitely have never thought that I would find that polish somewhere in my local stores, but whadya know, I went to buy some tattoo stencil paper and there it was, right at the cashier's desk.
But I think it is enough with the words - here is my first experience being Magneto.

I'm sorry if my voice sounds weird in this video. I've been sneezing all day and there was nothing I could do with it.

I think they turned out great.
Thank you for reading and some back soon!

Deftones Nail Art

Hello, sweethearts!
Did you guys miss me? First of all I'd like to apologies for not posting anything for two weeks now. I had a lot of things happening and I haven't been feeling well for a few days. As I am feeling a bit better today, I feel that I must make a post on the blog. We haven't filmed anything, but I think we will have a new video tutorial this weekend. I hate being sick, I hate staying at home and feeling sick. So I think I will be feeling as good as new till the end of the week! ^__^
I have chosen a "band-inspired"nail art to come back from the two week "break" from painting my nails.
This time it's Deftones!
I haven't been listening to them for two years or so, but recently I have discovered their albums on my phone and I started listening to their music again.

I am not complaining but it was pretty hard for me to do these tiny rose details... But I think I'll improve when I will be feeling better. :)
I know that this design is very simple, comparing to my other ideas - but bare with me this week.

Here is a great song for you, that is called "Good Morning, Beautiful" <3

"You should wake up before the wrath comes
me and you could take off before the wrath comes.."

Feel free to tell me what you think about these nails and come back this weekend <3

December Nail Art.

Hello again!
As I have mentioned earlier, this month will be a really stressful one for me. So much to do in so little time.
Why can't I just stay at home and do nail art for fun?
Anyways, As I didn't had enough time I figured that I should do something easy and winter themed. So here you are -
These patterns usually can be seen on warm winter sweaters, and as it is snowing outside it's the perfect time to start wearing them.
It's so easy to do that it does not really needs to be explained - take a toothpick and copy the pattern from any winter sweater you have.
Take time to make the lines straight. (Mine aren't neat at all, I was in a hurry to finish the design and go to bed.)
Hope you liked the nail art and here is a picture of my sweet Lady and her favorite blanket for you -

Why? Just because she is adorable.<3

By the way, If you are interested in winter themed nail art, be sure to check out the 12 Days of Xmas challenge entries here -

Have a good day and come back next time!
